Egypt's PM inaugurates the $100M insvestment of Kadi Textile Factory in Ain Sokhna Industrial Zone

Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, inaugurated Egypt Kadi Textile Factory, one of the latest industrial projects in the TEDA Egypt Industrial Zone, during his inspection tour of the Ain Sokhna Integrated Industrial Zone.

Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), highlighted that the Egypt Kadi project represents an investment of $100 million and is expected to create 4,500 direct and indirect job opportunities.

During the visit, Cao Hui, Managing Director of TEDA Egypt, provided an overview of the projects within the industrial zone.

He noted that the first phase of development has been fully completed, covering an area of 1.34 square kilometers, with $152 million in investments.

Meanwhile, the expansion phase is underway on 6 square kilometers, with a total investment of $230 million.

Additionally, the company is in negotiations with the Egyptian government to acquire an additional 2.8 square kilometers to establish more factories.

The facility is built on an expansive 250,000 square meters, making it a significant addition to Egypt’s textile industry.

The entire factory was constructed in just one year, from October 2023 to October 2024, with trial operations commencing in January 2025.

The facility boasts an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons of fabric, positioning it as a major player in the regional textile market.

In its first phase, the factory aims to achieve annual sales of $35 million. The second phase is set to begin in March 2025, with full-scale production expected by December 2025.

In addition, the company has established scientific research laboratories to drive technological innovation in the textile industry.
