DEVA Party Deputy Chairman, Party Spokesperson and Adana MP Sadullah Kısacık, in his speech at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), stated that the textile sector was finished and said, “The textile sector, which is the locomotive of Turkey, was finished. Our textile sector was given away to Egypt.”

DEVA Party Adana Deputy Sadullah Kısacık, who took the floor at the General Assembly of the Parliament regarding the omnibus bill including KOSGEB and TÜBİTAK regulations discussed at the TBMM, brought the problems experienced by the textile sector to the TBMM agenda.

Making evaluations based on the statistics of the sector in recent years, Kısacık said, “As a result of wrong policies in textile, 300 thousand people became unemployed in two years. The sector was providing employment to 1 million 250 thousand people in 2022. By the end of 2024, employment fell below 950 thousand people. Textile was the locomotive sector of Turkey, unfortunately Turkey's locomotive sector was destroyed,” and criticized the government for the situation in which the textile sector was reduced.
