Future Fibers Summit: Sustainable Materials in Apparel

A two-day summit on recycled and bio-based fibres, with manufacturers from Egypt, Turkey and Portugal presenting commercial-scale case studies rather than pilots.

22–23 July 2026 Lisbon, Portugal · Centro de Congressos Starts in 27 days

About this event

The Future Fibers Summit brings together mills, brands and material scientists working on recycled and bio-based fibres at commercial volume. The 2026 programme is deliberately weighted towards production realities — yield, contamination, dye uptake and cost per kilo — rather than material science in the abstract.

For Egyptian manufacturers the summit matters for one specific reason: several EU brands represented on the programme have published 2027 recycled-content targets that their current supply base cannot meet. Egyptian spinners with the right certifications are among a small group that could.

Who should attend

  • Spinning and knitting mills exploring recycled or blended feedstock
  • Export managers whose EU customers have published recycled-content commitments
  • Sustainability and compliance leads working towards GRS, RCS or OEKO-TEX certification
  • Buyers sourcing certified sustainable fabric from the Southern Mediterranean
