A total export of 2.4 Million Kantar in Egypt

The private sector takes over 82 % of the connection in exporting Cotton.

The Egyptian Cotton connections has increased during the last week in its 22’nd export season, to 44 Thousand and 556 Kantar in return for 20 Thousand and 140 Kantar last week.

“The sum of the Egyptian Cotton exports connections reached 2.4 Million Kantar till now with a worth estimated 224 Million USD, while 178 Million USD for the Long Types, and 66 Million USA for the Extra-Long” Said Engineer Tharwat El-Menyawi, head of the National Council/Association for Testing and Evaluation. El-Menyawi pointed at the percentage of private sector associations with the connections and they’re estimated about 23 firm. 83% reached public sector and they’re estimated 7 firms which makes it 17% for the total of all connections.

Evidently it came to show that the distributer of Egyptian Cottons is between weaving and exports connections; which until now reached 3.8 Million Kantar to come to a total of the currently displayed “credit” anticipated for this season according to the estimation of the National Council/Association of Testing and Evaluation for Cotton, about 2 Million Kantar.
