Bangladesh: Importing cotton from India and Uzbekishtan
According to Commerce Minister of Bangladesh, the country's textile industry has faced challenges due to rising raw material prices in international markets in the country.

The Government intends to import cotton from India and Uzbekistan to the outside of the problems faced by the textile sector.
According to a statement issued by the Minister, the Minister of Trade will discuss issues of import of cotton from India, which is the second largest cotton producer in the world, during his visit to India this month.
The minister said that the government would take all steps necessary to import cotton from Uzbekistan as well.
