Bangladesh yr to June exports rise 21.6 pct to record high 10.53 bln usd
Bangladesh's exports rose 21.6 pct to a record high of 10.53 bln usd for the year to June led by the country's booming textile industry, the government said.

The country registered a record 24 pct export rise in textile shipments, data released by the Export Promotion Bureau said.
'Since the country's independence in 1971, this is the highest export growth in our history. And all the credit should go to our ready-made garments exporters,' export bureau chief Mir Shabuddin Mohammad told Agence France-Presse.
Apart from textiles, the country's traditional exports such as jute, shrimp and leather also saw double-digit growth during the year, the bureau said.
