Egypt: Discontinuation of working with indicative prices for garments and textiles

it has been decided to stop working with indicative prices at the customs release on garment and textile,until it is revised and studied with both federal chambers of commerce and industries and customs services to maintain consumer rights and interests of producers and traders.

Mr. Mohamed EL Masry President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce that there is a lot of complaints of damage on traders by the imposition of excessive fees for the protection of national industry but it came at the expense of the consumer and the matter was discussed with officials of the customs officials who agreed upon the demands. that is coordinated with the federal and industry chambers in order to achieve the prices its goal in protecting the national industry and at the same time does not harm the interests of producers and traders.
