Egypt's Alcotexa sells 3,994 tons of cotton in two weeks.
Egypt's Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) committed to sell 3,994 tonnes of cotton in the two-week period that ended on November 12, an Alcotexa official said on Monday.

The sales comprised 978 tonnes of Giza 88 and 3,016 tonnes of Giza 86.
The deal brings Alcotexa's export commitments for the 2011/2012 season, which began in September 2011, to 15,465 tonnes worth $55.52 million.
By this time last year, Alcotexa had sold 82,520 tonnes of cotton worth $295.37.
