Egypt's Alcotexa sells 5,632 T cotton in past week.
Egypt's Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) has committed to sell 5,632 tonnes of cotton in the week that ended on September 25, an Alcotexa official told Reuters on Sunday.

The sales comprised 242 tonnes of Giza 88 cotton, 40 tonnes of Giza 70 and 5,350 tonnes of Giza 86, the official said.
The deal brings Alcotexa's export commitments for the 2010/11 season, which began this month, to 10,325 tonnes of cotton worth $31,873 million, the official said.
By this time last year, Alcotexa had sold 2,454 tonnes of cotton worth $5.53 million.
