Indian Cotton Yarn Prices Reduced.
Indian spinners have agreed to reduce cotton yarn prices for all counts and maintain them at the same level for a three month period, according to the Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA).

The country’s Hon Union Minister of Textiles Thiru Dayanidhi Maran intervened to bring about the agreement, added TEA.
The following prices will prevail until the end of August 2010 for all mills, according to TEA: 40s CHY, 194 Rs/kg; 34s CHY, 184 Rs/kg; 30s CHY, 177 Rs/kg; 24s CHY, 165 Rs/kg; 20s CHY, 157Rs/kg (1Rs = 0.02US$).
TEA president Shri A Sakthivel said he has sent a letter thanking the Hon Union Minister of Textiles for his intervention.
