Indonesia Cotton Use to Increase Slightly in 2010/2011
Indonesia’s cotton use will rise 2.4 percent in the year starting in June as textile makers boost purchases to keep pace with increased demand during an economic recovery, a U.S. Department of Agriculture unit said.

Domestic use will rise to 2.15 million bales from an estimated 2.1
million in the current period, the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service
said in a report posted on its Web site. Cotton consumption fell an
estimated 2.3 percent in the year that began in June because of higher
prices of the fiber and lower yarn prices, the USDA said.
