Iran, Turkey to compete with China in textile industry
Iran in cooperation with Turkey could be a formidable rival to China's textile market; expert on Iran-Turkey economic relations Farshid Baqerian said here on December 10, on the occasion of International Exhibition of Textile Industry being held in Tabriz from December 6-10.

"During the imposed war, the balance of trade between the two countries was in favor of Turkey, however, the trend assumed a reversal after the war, reaching to its lowest ratio in 2000," Baqerian mentioned.
In 2001, the trade exchange between both nations witnessed a transformation; nonetheless, it was Turkey that realized the potential of Iran's market during foreign investment participation and privatization, and cooperated in auto manufacturing, textile and packaging sectors to some extent, he commented.
