Non-Woven Fabric Firm Fiber Dynamics In MBO

A management group headed by James Heery, president of Fiber Dynamics Inc, on Friday revealed the purchase of controlling interest in the company from Florida-based Sommers Inc for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 1983, the North Carolina-based firm is a leading supplier of engineered non-woven fabrics to both the apparel and industrial markets and employs 70 people.

Heery stated: "We believe this transaction will allow both Fiber Dynamics and Sommers, Inc to concentrate on core businesses, while we continue to develop our presence in the industrial markets with both new and innovative products and services.

"Our team has over 100 years of combined experience and knowledge in the markets we service. We see this as a great opportunity for our company and are excited about the challenges ahead of us."
