Significant increase in cotton imports in Thailand
This year in July, the Thai cotton imports reached 29,900 tons, up 11.4% of the Australian cotton imports increased by 43.4%, imports of cotton in Africa is also a record high.

Significant increase in cotton imports in Thailand for two reasons: First, to promote India’s cotton export ban imports of Australian cotton mills turn, month, Thailand’s imports of Indian cotton is zero; Second, despite the international cotton prices were high, but the Thai baht ondollar continued to rise, resulting in lower costs of cotton imports.
2009/10, total imports of cotton in Thailand is 40 million tons, up 12.7%, which greatly increased on the Australian cotton imports 71.2%. 2010/11, the Thai cotton imports are expected and the previous year. If the Thai baht exchange rate continues to rise, or to continue to grow the domestic textile industry, cotton imports are expected to increase further.
