The Home textile export council is threatened to large fine
Mr. Ismail Abou El Sebaa "Head of home textile export council" has stressed that the council is facing a major problem as labor inspection offices in city of Mehalla have received a direct order to enforce article 140 of act 12 in 2003.

This article states that no labor should be recruited in any technical and no technical installation, unless he holds measuring skills certificate or at least practicing profession license. And for those who break this law will be submitted to penalty charges that could reach up to 200 pounds for each violation.
It is known that all the available labor in the market is low educated labor that does not hold any of the required certificates. As a result, these enterprises will maintain suffering losses due to the continuation in hiring uncertified persons or giving its current labor the proper training to be qualified for the job.
Mr. Abou El Sebaa added that these enterprises are engaged in exporting all of its products to the two main markets (The US and Europe). Therefore, authorities should boost its efforts instead of submitting fines on it.
