According to the news in Ekonomist magazine, the common view in the textile and ready-to-wear sector is that expectations can only be realized in the medium and long term.

Gültepe: We can reach an export volume of over 2 billion dollars

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Chairman Mustafa Gültepe said that if political stability is achieved in Syria, exports will also grow, but this will take time.

Gültepe said, “A peaceful Syria will have positive contributions to the exports of almost every sector. It is not possible to make an accurate estimate regarding our exports to Syria in 2025. However, I can say that we will reach an export volume of over 2 billion dollars under any circumstances. First of all, we have to focus on the humanitarian aspect of the business. While we follow the developments in our neighbor Syria, we will also help them in the supply of all the products they need.”
