CEO of Lectra says it is a mistake to support diversion to other fields. 'If we had listened so similar arguments in Italy 20 years ago, we wouldn’t be where we are now,' he says.
The problems of the Turkish textile sector stem from the fact that it lacks an established international image, according to Lectra CEO Daniel Harari. Speaking to Referans business daily, Harari said it was a wrong approach to argue that Turkey should abandon textiles and divert to fields with a high added value such as information technologies (IT).
