Egypt's Alcotexa sells 581 Tons Cotton in The Past Week.
Egypt's Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) committed to sell 581 tonnes of cotton in the week that ended on June 12, an Alcotexa official told Reuters on Sunday

The sales comprised 169 tonnes of Giza 88, 400 tonnes of Giza 86 and 12 tonnes mixed from Giza 86 and Giza 89, the official said.
The deal brings Alcotexa's export commitments for the 2009/10 season, which began in September, to 73,338 tonnes of cotton worth $172.34 million, the official said.
Egypt expects to export 80,000 tonnes of cotton this season, the agriculture minister said in February.
By this time last year, Alcotexa had sold 19,421 tonnes of cotton worth $50.29 million.
