During year 2003 the Egyptian local currency (L.E) has been devaluated by 42%. To this respect, the Egyptian knitted apparel exports to the US during 2002-2003, has increased by 79% compared to the export values of the previous period (2001-2002). While the exports' of knitted T-shirts to USA in 2002 counted for 2,904.244 dozens, in 2003, the exports of knitted T-shirts surged dramatically reaching to 3,683,490 dozens sharing 1.2% from the total imports of USA market for this product.
