UK Fashion Chain Sets Sights On Beirut

Clothing chain Bhs is one of the first in a line of high street fashion stores looking to war-torn Beirut as a new untapped market. The company is planning to establish new shops in the Middle Eastern countries of Beirut and Egypt, to top up the £40million worth of sales that already come in from countries such as Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Other well-known stores such as Harvey Nichols, Marks & Spencer, Mothercare, Top Shop and Monsoon already have operations in the wealthy Arab Gulf states.
