VIETNAM: Vietnam`s exports to the US surge in two months
Vietnam’s total exports to the US have shot up in the first two months of the year, by 19 percent against the same period last year, according to the US Department of Commerce (DOC).

Garment and textile exports took the lead with turnover estimated at US$513 million, followed by footwear (US$147.5 million), wooden products (US$144.5 million), machines, electrical equipment, and seafood products.
In February, US exports to Vietnam increased by 5.5 percent, up US$353 million against the previous month. Therefore, trade turnover between Vietnam and the US decreased by 6.8 percent to US$1.6 billion.
The total turnover of machines and mechanic equipment exported to Vietnam hit US$41 million, up 31 percent, followed by cotton and fabric (US$36.3 million).
The US also boosted its steel exports to Vietnam, earning US$29.6 million.
