150% Antidumping Fees on Syrian Cotton Yarns

In order to protect the Egyptian textile industry form unfair trade practices, H.E. Dr. Youssef Botros Ghali; Minister of Foreign Trade, issued contemporarily antidumping fees (150% for one year), on cotton yarns originated in Syria; according to the Egyptian Law No. 161/1998 and it’s executive regulations.

The Minister decided to send an antidumping team to visit Syrian firms to check the reality of production cost and prices of the Syrian cotton yarns exported to Egypt. Because these exports has negatively affected the Egyptian Textile Industry.
