Bangladesh's apparel exports are apparently recovering after the setback experienced in the last year. A return to political and social stability and a falling taka compared with the yuan or the dong are boosting orders from Europe and the United States. The government is also determined to improve working conditions in garment plants while still lobbying Washington to get a duty-free access on the U.S. market.
