As a clear sign that clothing prices could no more decline in the future, Bangladeshi knit apparel producers announced they will set minimum prices from June 1st, being forced to raise wages of garment workers after rice prices doubled in the last twelve months. Bangladesh is reporting a surge in clothing exports to the European Union and the United States after China's competitiveness fell on the lower end of the apparel market.
