BULGARIA: Bulgarian clothing exports grow.
Prada and Vivienne Westwood will help Bulgarian dress-making companies survive the world crisis. Some 90% of the clothes and textile materials which Bulgarian companies produce are exported, shows an analysis of the Bulgarian Association of Apparel and Textile Producers and Exporters (BAATPE).

The biggest part of the fashion items and clothes are ordered and sold in Italy, Germany and Greece. Thanks to the big orders from Boss, Mexx and Max Mara, the dress-making branch in Bulgaria has not only overcome the crisis but is a step ahead. In 2009, the collapse in the textile and clothes production was by 60% down compared to 2008. In 2010, the drop was not only made up for but a growth of 20% at the realization of the production is expected. The Bulgarian clothes are exported both to Europe and the USA.
