China's textile machine exports grew, mainly to South Asian countries
China's textile machinery export value amounted to US$713 million between January and October, up 37.53%, making a trade deficit of US2.198 billion when compared with the import value at US$2.911 billion.

Major exporting regions were India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, accounting for 39% of total machine exports. For the ten ASEAN countries, some 11.5% of textile machines came from China.
Of all six major export categories of textile machines, knitting machines and spinning machines made up the most significant shares at 28% and 17% respectively, followed by dyeing and finishing machines, weaving machines, chemical fiber machines, and components and accessories.
