Downturn In Global Yarn Production Continues

Global yarn and fabric production fell in the third quarter with fabrics faring better than yarns, the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) said on Wednesday. Inventories of yarns moved higher, with an increase in Asia offsetting stock reductions in South America and Europe, while European yarn and fabric orders both weakened, but in Brazil a fall in yarn orders contrasted with an upturn in the fabric order situation.
