India to Produce Record Cotton Output in 2010-2011
India’s cotton output will rise to a record 25 million bales in the year starting August 1 from an estimated 23.5 million a year earlier, a U.S. Department of Agriculture unit said.

India’s domestic consumption will increase to 20.1 million bales from 19.2 million, the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service said in a report issued on its Web site.
