JAPAN: Japan's Man-Made Fibre Production increase by 8.7% in March.
The Japan Chemical Fibers Association reported that the nation’s production of man-made fibers increased by 8.7% in March from the same month of last year to 88,603 tons, of which synthetic fibers rose by10% to 73,898 tons.

All four major synthetic fiber items posted increases: nylon filament
grew by 10% to 7,890 tons, acrylic staple fiber by 15% to 14,047 tons,
polyester filament by 3.3% to 15,782 tons, and polyester staple fiber by
0.3% to 13,254 tons.
