Major Surge in Egypt Denim trouser exports to the EU
Egypt denim trouser (jeans wear) has remarkably increased to reach approximately 140 Million Euros in 2018 with an annual increase of 25% and 90% compared to 2011, representing 59% of Egypt woven apparel exports to the EU, and 2.9% of the EU imports of Denim trousers in 2018.

Spain, UK, and Germany are the largest EU import markets of Denim trousers from Egypt, representing 86% of Egypts exports to the EU in 2018.
The EU imports of Denim trousers has exceeded 4.7 Billion Euros with an annual decline of -2.9%, and a surge of 26% compared to 2011. Bangladesh is the largest supplier to the EU representing 29%, and Turkey is the 2nd largest supplier representing 20% of the EU imports.
