M&S To Replace Clothing Chief After Weak Q3
High street giant Marks & Spencer Group Plc (M&S) is to replace the head of its clothing division following disappointing third quarter sales figures.

While a replacement for David Norgrove has not yet been found, M&S stated the clothing chief would leave the company “in due time”.
Among those tipped to take up the position are former Debenhams boss Belinda Earl and New Look Stephen Sunnucks.
Until then, Norgrove will remain on the company management board, focusing on improving supply chain efficiency.
For the 15 weeks to January 10, M&S reported a 4.5 per cent drop in same-store sales of goods other than food.
Total clothing sales, meanwhile, fell 3.3 per cent year-on-year for the period.
According to CEO Roger Holmes, poor sales of women clothing were a primary contributor to the “disappointing” results.
“The fall in clothing sales was driven by a weak performance in certain key women’s wear areas, notably knitwear, coats and suits, where our ranges were not strong enough,” he said.
