Nonwovens leaders to showcase latest breakthroughs at Index

The number of companies presenting new products will exceed 500 for the first time in the history of INDEX exhibitions, the world’s largest and most important event for the nonwovens industry at Geneva Palexpo, Switzerland from 15th – 18th April 2008.

Organized since 1973 (at the time called IDEA) and now held every three years, INDEX 08 will surpass all previous exhibitions with more than 13,000 visitors expected to see first-hand what leading nonwovens experts have to offer.

The event covers the whole spectrum of nonwovens activity, but has a particular focus on some key applications such as: Packaging, Filtration, Composites, Automotive, Construction, Medical, Cleaning & Hygiene and Home Furnishing.

Nonwovens are uniquely engineered materials which have a fabric-like structure and are used in an increasingly wide variety of applications.

Nonwovens may be single-use or durable, providing functions such as absorbency, liquid repellency, resilience, stretch, softness, strength, cushioning, filtering, microbiological barrier and sterility.

With some 21,000m² of occupied stand space, INDEX 08 will showcase the latest developments in nonwoven applications and technological breakthroughs.

It will unite leaders from all spheres of manufacturing, machinery and raw material supply with leading industry decision-makers, purchasing and sales professionals and key marketers.
