Tommy Hilfiger to open European flagship in London.

Tommy Hilfiger is preparing to launch a European flagship store in London in November, in a move that provides an additional opportunity to position the brand in the UK market and offers a launchpad for its new men’s tailoring line.

The store on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge will be the fashion firm’s biggest in the UK and its third largest in Europe and will showcase the brand’s “complete world.”

“London is one of the world’s leading cities in retail and Brompton Road offers a unique blend of luxury and more accessible retail, making it the perfect location for our brand,” said CEO Fred Gehring.

“Given the momentum of our business in the UK, this is a natural evolution to deliver on our goal to have a flagship store in all of the capital cities of Europe.”

Tommy Hilfiger added: “London, rich in culture, history and art, is the perfect location for us to anchor our largest UK flagship store, and offer our customers the complete classic American cool Tommy Hilfiger lifestyle.”

The 8,288 square foot (770 square metre) interior space covers two floors and will echo the brand’s Fifth Avenue New York City global flagship. The men’s Runway, Sportswear and Hilfiger Denim collections will be showcased on the ground floor along with the Tailored line, which will make its UK debut.

The women’s Runway and Sportswear collections will be presented in the first floor, with a separate area for accessories. The first floor will also house Childrenswear and Hilfiger Denim for women.

There are currently over 1,000 Tommy Hilfiger stores worldwide
