US approval on limiting Israeli QIZ agreement share to 8%
During his visit to Portsaid governorate, the US ambassador in Cairo "Mr. Richard Donny" has praised of what Egypt has achieved in the field of economical development, which was very apparent in the surge of Egypt's apparel exports to the US by 35% in the period Jan to June 2007 comparing to the same period in 2006.

In a press conference following the visit, the US ambassador pointed out that there are negotiations undertaken to diminish the contribution of Israeli components in raw material from 11.7% to 8% in the QIZ agreement. This will enable Egyptian exporters to effectively compete in the American market.
He also added that the American embassy is due to prepare and organize the largest economical fair in Cairo in early January, 2008 for companies, Investors and businessmen To increase bilateral economic ties between Egypt and the united states.
