Vietnam: Vietnam`s imports of fabrics up by 46 % in the Q1st. of 2011
According to statistics of Vietnam Customs, Vietnam's imports of fabrics in the first quarter of 2011 amounted to US$1.46 billion, up 46% over the same period of last year, making up 6.31% of the country's imports in the first quarter.

In March alone, Vietnam's imports of fabrics were valued at US$0.616 billion, up 62.83% month-on-month and up 48.24% over year-on-year.
Among the countries importing fabrics to Vietnam in the first quarter of 2011, China remains the largest one (US$0.588 billion), followed by Korea (US$0.299 billion) and Taiwan (US$0.259 billion), which saw a year-on-year growth of 56.26%, 31.88% and 44.65%; besides, fabrics imported from China, Korea and Taiwan accounted for 40.25%, 20.5% and 17.78% of fabrics imported to Vietnam in the period.
