Egypt - Taiwan relation in cotton denim fabrics
In 2003, Taiwan's exports of cotton denim fabrics dramatically fell by 29% in volume and value terms, recording a sharp difference from the bright successes gained in the previous year.

Despite this, Egypt has remained a stable and potential partner of Taiwan. Although Egypt share in Taiwanese exports is 5%, figures address a mutual benefiting relation.
Egypt imports of denim fabrics from Taiwan increased dramatically in 2003 by 397% in volume and 371% in value from the records of 2002.
One of the reasons for the decrease of Taiwan exports of cotton denim fabrics is the closing down of the denim apparel plants in the United States. Now, United States depends on importing denim apparel.
In 2003, Egypt share in the US market was 3.71%, with an increase of 29% from the share recorded in 2002.
