China's apparel exports to the US market may seriously slow down in 2008, as a result of higher production costs, rapidly rising yuan and surging competition from Vietnam while US quotas in most sensitive categories are still maintained until the end of the year.
US apparel imports already declined 15% from China in December, possibly announcing a sourcing shift to other nations in the near term.
